This hike leads us through the vineyards near S. Maddalena up to the hamlet of Signato and further to Soprabolzano on the Renon - a nice autumnal walk

The district of Rencio in Bolzano, more precisely the junction of the road up on the Renon, is starting point of our hike along the Signato Path. We follow the path no. 5 - the first 100 metres unfortunately proceed along the road, then we walk on trails uphill through the autumnal landscape. Past the Waldgries Winery the path proceeds to S. Giustina, a hamlet with a beautiful Romanesque church. We continue our hike on the path no. 5 up to the road to Signato. Sections through the deciduous forest, meadows and the farms of Signato follow.
We cross the village centre with the St. Martin Church and the Signater Hof restaurant and finally reach the forest again. A little further up, on the left side of the road, the path no. 26 branches off. If proceeds first through a valley and then to the meadows at the edge of the village of Soprabolzano. There several restaurants and bars invite to take a rest. By the Renon Cable Car we come back down into the valley again.
