Andriano is a quaint little village located opposite to Terlano

The village of Andriano (285 m a.s.l., about 1,025 inhabitants), snuggles at the Monte Macaion opposite Terlano. It is not yet clear where the village name comes from, there are some possible explanations that its roots are Roman. Andriano is one of the smallest independent municipalities of South Tyrol. The cities of Bolzano and Merano are located only a few minutes’ car drive away.

The cooperative “Kellereigenossenschaft Andriano” was founded in 1893 and is thus the oldest in South Tyrol. The traditional association offers its best wines for tasting on several events in the village. Also those who love South Tyrolean folk music might be familiar with Andriano, as it is the Home of Vincent & Fernando, the winners of the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 2009.

The Spring Festival on May 1, when the area around Andriano is immersed in a white sea of apple blossoms, attracts numerous visitors. Active holidays under the open sky, that’s what you can experience in Andriano due to its nice mixed forests, the well-signposted trails and the network of cycling trails. The pool at the edge of the forest attracts above all families, as it is a rather shady place and ideal for a refreshing afternoon for escaping the heat of summer months.
