In spring, the entire Wine Road between Salorno and Nalles is dedicated to the juice of the vine for several weeks.
The 16 villages along the Wine Road offer the unique opportunity to look behind the scenes of their cellars and wine farms for several weeks: The "Wine Road Weeks" between April and June are filled with top-class events, interesting encounters and a voyage of discovery through South Tyrol's wine culture. Their history dates back to 2007, when the South Tyrolean Wine Route Association set itself the goal to connect and bring together all places between Nalles and Salorno in a special event.
This has undoubtedly succeeded: Lectures and wine festivals are as much a part of the programme as a champagne breakfast at Salorno Castle or a tasting in the vineyards of Cornaiano at the "Gschleier Weinkost". The highlights include the "Appiano Wine Day" and the "Terlano Saint Urban Night", the "Gewürztraminer Wine Hiking Day" and the "South Tyrolean Pinot Noir Days", "Appiano Culinaria" and the awarding of the title "Master of Wine", one of the highest awards in the wine industry. The event finally ends with the famous "Night of the Cellars". Have fun!
