Caldaro’s red and white wines are celebrated extensively on two separate weekends in early summer

Every year in mid-June, the central Market Square shines in red when Caldaro invites visitors to taste its finest Caldaro Lake Charter wines and red wine rarities from the local cellars. The event "Caldaro All in Red" (Kaltern ganz in Rot, in German) is a true feast for the senses: The Quality Seal Charter, a quality promise for every wine lover, is only awarded to those red wines that have passed the annual blind tasting. In addition to the numerous flavours and notes, visitors to this warm Caldaro summer night can expect a variety of olfactory and taste experiences.
Two weeks later, the market square is bathed in white light when the stands at "Caldaro All in White" (Kaltern ganz in Weiss) present the fresh and fruity Caldaro white wines. In a preliminary round it will be decided which wines will be admitted to this evening. As at the sister event, there will be music and typical dishes served by the HGV Ortsgruppe Kaltern. These two highlights, which have enriched the Wine Road's calendar for several years now, have become true cult events...
