The village of Gleno is located at the fertile south-west slopes of the Cislon mountain.

Gleno belongs to the municipality of Montagna and is made up of a dispersed settlement extending along the small road to Trodena. Standing at the northern side of the Valle dei Molini valley, there is a beautiful waterfall of the Trodena river, rushing down under our feet.
On the opposite side of the valley, there is the Caldiff ruin at Mazzon, belonging to the municipality of Egna, guarding the Valle dei Molini.
On the slope above Glen, there is another building with a particular tower. It belongs to the Thalerhof farm, on which Ettore Tolomei, translator of several translations of South Tyrolean village names, used to live. This topic is still today much discussed in South Tyrol.
