On a rock spur high above the village of Settequerce, located in the valley basin of the Val d'Adige in the north west of Bolzano, Castel Grifo dating back to the 12th century rises up into the sky. The landscape round the settlement is characterised by fruit orchards and vineyards. In the fertile valley basin apples grow, while the slopes are covered by vineyards.

Along Via Bolzano, there is the S. Cuore parish church. Moreover you can find convent of the German Order with the S. Antonio church in the village. Its vicinity to Bolzano makes it a particularly strategic starting point for experiencing this part of South Tyrol.
