Many accommodations along the Wine Road offer their guests something very special: The WinePass, an advantage card included in the room rate, which features countless inclusive services and benefits in the whole region, such as the free use of the means of public transport in South Tyrol. These include the public buses and trains as well as the historical Renon Train, the Mendola Funicular and the cable cars, which take you to the beautiful high plateaus and mountains of the region, such as the Renon high plateau, Meltina or Mt. Colle near Bolzano.
The WinePass offers also free admission to more than 90 South Tyrolean museums, castles and collections. The rich cultural offer between the Val Pusteria and the Val Venosta valleys allows you, for example, to visit Ötzi free of charge at the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology in Bozen, the walk through the Messner Mountain Museum Firmian at Firmiano Castle near Appiano, the discovery of one of the largest still preserved profane fresco cycles at Roncolo Castle near Bolzano and the exploration of the Beekeeping Museum at the Plattner Farm on the Renon.
The further benefits of the WinePass, however, include a 50% discount on admissions to leisure time and sports facilities such as the bathing establishment at Lake Monticolo, the adventure pool in Egna, the high-rope course in Caldaro and the Termeno minigolf course. A further 50% discount is added for over 60 unique wine experiences on the South Tyrolean Wine Road. Among them there are e.g. wine cellar tours in the Termeno Winery, theme walks through the vineyards of Caldaro and wine tastings in Egna. An advantage card for connoisseurs and wine lovers alike!
