Muscadelle Session three
Muscadelle Session three

Goldmuskateller (Moscato giallo) is an autochthonous Italian wine grape variety grown in the South Tyrolean regions Bassa Atesina, Oltradige and Val d’Adige.

The sweetness of the Goldmuskateller grape is legendary, its smell of nutmeg unique. It is a low-yield grape requiring a very warm climate but no particular soil type. Goldmuskateller grapes are large-sized and oblong, golden-yellow in colour.

Goldmuskateller is a dessert wine, with aromas of nutmeg, citrus fruits, peach, lemon balm and roast apples. It goes particularly well with South Tyrolean desserts like Krapfen and Strudel as well as with every kind of cake. A dry Goldmuskateller can also be served as an aperitif.

Serving temperature: 8 - 10°C
