If you take the village road from Nalles to Sirmiano, you reach the component locality of Sirmiano di Sopra, extending at an altitude of 920 m a.s.l. This village is composed of farm houses spread around the famous S. Apollonia church. From this place you can enjoy a great view on the Dolomites, the Sarentino Alps and the Gruppo di Tessa mountain group.

For walking we recommend you the path to Gaido, from where you can proceed on the Appiano high path to the Oltradige. For those who prefer a rather cosy walk, there is the S. Giacomo church at Grissiano.

In Sirmiano di Sopra, there are two taverns for hikers: the "Jäger" and "Apollonia" taverns, both offering culinary delights with regional accents. As you might notice, the preconditions for a walking day are absolutely given.
