CURA – Presentation of the Winning Works

On October 1, 2025, at 10:00 AM, the South Tyrolean Artists’ Association (Südtiroler Künstlerbund), Cooperativa19, and the Südtiroler Sparkasse Foundation cordially invite you to the presentation of the winning works of the exhibition project CURA at Bolzano Hospital. The meeting point is the lobby of the New Hospital.
The awarded works will be permanently displayed in the corridor connecting the New and the Old Hospital buildings.

With the fifth edition of the art acquisition initiative, the Südtiroler Sparkasse Foundation, in collaboration with the South Tyrolean Artists’ Association and Cooperativa19, continues to support young artists in South Tyrol.
The goal is to bring contemporary art into the often impersonal spaces of the hospital, thus enhancing the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff alike.

This year’s call for entries focused exclusively on painting and revolved around the theme CURA – a concept that stands for care, attentiveness, and healing. The artworks are intended to offer emotional access points, contribute to the overall atmosphere, and make the importance of human connection visible.

Before their installation in the hospital, all 38 submitted works were exhibited for one month at SKB ARTES, where they were visited by a wide audience. A professional jury then selected 15 works to be acquired by the Südtiroler Sparkasse Foundation and presented at Bolzano Hospital.
