In October, the wine village of Caldaro invites to a three-day pop festival with bands and groups from all over the world
Already for some years now, the end of the grape harvest and the summer season in Caldaro has been celebrated not only with a traditional Törggele evening and the tasting of the new wine, but also with lots of good music. Before a quieter time sets in for some months - after the long and unforgettable summer at the warmest bathing lake of the Alps - the “Caldaro Pop Festival” (Kaltern Pop Festival, in German) offers the great opportunity to dance and party together.
On three consecutive days, it presents first-class live concerts in different places and locations including the Caldaro clubhouse, the historical setting of the South Tyrolean Wine Museum, the Franciscan Church on the Piazza dei Rottenburg square, the stunning inner courtyard of Castel Windegg, the “Cinema at the Station” and the Kuba youth and culture centre. Sounds and voices from Europe and the whole world are a very special autumnal experience between DJ music, choir concerts and lots of pop, disco, funk, soul and rhythm-and-blues.
