The forces of good fight against the forces of evil.
Tamino, a prince, is saved from a giant snake by the Queen of the Night. In return, he is to free her daughter Pamina from the palace of Sarastro, the Lord of Light.
With the help of Papageno, a bird catcher, he succeeds - albeit in a different way than planned by the Queen of the Night.
