The view on the Castelchiaro fortress and Lake Caldaro makes swimming in the lido a particular experience
Lake Caldaro is known as the warmest bathing lake of the Alps and already therefore an attraction in itself. It is located beneath the hill, where the Castelchiaro fortress (Leuchtenburg) rises, a delightful sight.
The Lido of Lake Caldaro is located a bit above the water surface of the lake, so the swimmers can enjoy exactly the above mentioned beautiful perspective. The combination of lake and lido fulfils your desires and enriches a day at the water with plenty of variety.

Paddleboats can be rented at Lake Caldaro - at the Lido, the Hotel Seegarten and the Restaurant Gretl am See, from the end of March until the beginning of October. And also a SUP-rental (stand up paddling) can be found there.

The opening times may vary in case of bad weather. Bathing season start 2024 in mid-May.
Depending on the weather, the start and the end of the bathing season may be extended or shortened with a short-term notice resp. postponed to another day. Please ask in advance!
