“The Blue Monster” is a 9-hole golf course and extends over 10.000 m² near the small village of Riva di Sotto

The typical landscape, characterised by mountains and apple trees, make this golf course something special. It was planned by star architect Thomas C. Himmel. Due to the extremely flat topography and the relatively high ground-water level the architect installed natural water areas as a determining factor. Moreover additional extensively managed areas complete the golf course and give a unique visual landscape.
One would think that the Blue Monster is only suited for pros but the many strategically placed tees are also playable for beginners.

Terrain: flat with water obstacles. Etiquette: soft spikes, dogs on a leash, GPS devices allowed.
The Appiano Golf Club "The Blue Monster" stays open every day from February to mid-November. It remains closed in the other three months.
The restaurant "The Grill House @ Golf&Country" is open from Tuesday to Saturday from noon time to 3 pm, and from 7 pm to 10 pm, Sunday and Monday rest days. The pizzeria is open from Tuesday to Saturday from 3 pm to 11 pm, Sunday and Monday from noon time to 9 pm, and the wine bar from Tuesday to Saturday from 7 am to midnight, and Sunday and Monday till 10 pm.
Season start 2026 in at the end of February.
