Törggele Dishes

Combined with a hike through the sunny and colourful autumn landscape, a Törggele-meal is a festive treat

The typical dishes at the Törggelen are suitable for autumn and provide a good atmosphere and culinary delights. The Törggele-meals are composed of various dishes:

A typical Marende is served, with speck bacon, Kaminwurz sausage, various cheeses and black bread or crispy Schüttelbrot. A hearty dish.

Another dish can be the Barley Soup. Barley is healthy in itself, also the cooked vegetables. If a piece of pork knuckle is served with the barley soup, let this taste melt on your tongue with pleasure.

Salt meat and sauerkraut and co. are usually the big hit on Törggele evenings. Sauerkraut and salt meat (Surfleisch in German), black puddings and slices of pork are served with roast potatoes or dumplings. You have to try this!

The typical South Tyrolean Dumplings are also available without a large side dish, as they in themselves offer enough nutritional value. They are served in many different varieties: with spinach, bacon, cheese, beetroot or without any additives. With lettuce or coleslaw they are a real pleasure.

The meal is topped off preferably with the roasted sweet chestnuts. Often butter is offered additionally to spread on the chestnuts, a fantastic combination. You drink to that a glass of the famous “Suser” must or “Nuier” wine and the day is definitely saved. The Krapfen - filled with jam, poppyseed or whipped cream with riced chestnuts are an additional dessert. Unforgettable hours are guaranteed!
