Welcome to the strangest side of animation!

The STRANGE section of the Bolzano Animated Movie Days Bozen 2026 brings together some of the most unconventional and boundary-pushing works in animation. The selected films challenge the rules of the genre, play with reality and turn the absurd into art, featuring eccentric characters and unexpected situations that surprise and provoke thought.

Some productions are screened in their original language with English subtitles.

A highlight of the section: "Strange Disturbia", winner at the London Short Film Festival.
