The Salewa Cube, dedicated to South Tyrolean mountaineer Erich Abram (1922–2017), has two locations in Bolzano. The climbing centre's headquarters is located in the industrial zone of Bolzano and is visible from afar thanks to its unique architecture. It offers 1,850 m² of indoor climbing space and 190 m² of outdoor climbing space: the indoor area is divided into the Challenge Area (north face and south tower with a total of 59 climbing routes), the Lead Area for learning to climb and the Boulder Area with 120 routes. The outdoor area features the east wall and two bouldering blocks. Difficulty levels from 3 to 8c and walls up to 19 metres high promise the finest climbing experiences, while the green area in front of the tower and the bistro invite you to watch and chat. The Salewa Cube is also easily accessible by public transport: the city bus line 10B takes you directly from the Bolzano railway station to the Salewa Cube in the south of Bolzano.
Since autumn 2025, Salewa Cube has a second location. The indoor climbing hall is located in the newly opened WaltherPark in the centre of Bolzano, not far from the train station, on the upper floor with a magnificent view over the city and the Dolomites. A spacious relaxation zone, a yoga area and a Kilter Board for your training are also available here. And the kids haven't been forgotten either: in the Kids Area, a separate play and exercise area, children can really let off steam while playing and climbing. There is even professional childcare available.
The Salewa Cube also offers basic courses for beginners and advanced climbers, children's courses and private lessons. Climbing equipment can of course be hired on site.
