At altitudes of 300-1,000 m nestles the first village of the South Tyrolean Wine Route: Nalles.
Did you know that Nalles is also known as the “hamlet of roses”? Stroll around this quiet place - obiviously in the right season which is spring, summer or autumn - and enjoy the splendour of these majestic flowers, whose name originates in the Latin term “rosa”.
Colourful fruit orchards and vineyards characterise the area and ancient castles, manors and farms remind of long passed days.
Nalles counts some 1,600 inhabitants and is ideal for relaxing hikes and cycling tours. A number of free time and sports facilities are provided.
The village locates some 16 km from the spa town of Merano and 14 km from the city of Bolzano.
