Bolzano Christmas Market

It is one of the most traditional Christmas Markets all over Italy and is located in the mountains. Every year again the Christmas Market of Bolzano is a real highlight.

The origins of the Bolzano Christmas Market lie at Piazza Walter. For which reason ever, the market booths in which products are sold were arranged at Piazza Walter. Still today lovely Christmas songs reign this solemn place and it is a pleasure to ramble about the market booths on this piazza. The offer at the Christmas Market is varied and also creature comforts are satisfied with hot apple juice, mulled wine, hot sausages and much more.

Of course the Christmas Market also provides various ideas regarding Christmas presents. Handmade candles, honey or hand-coloured glass Christmas balls, music instruments or wood carved sculptures, that’s what the market booths offer, and there are more than 80. However, what is particularly great is the atmosphere in the city. Christmas is in the air and all over Bolzano. And that’s a pleasure. Also in the churches of the historic centre of the city and in other venues, there are Christmas concerts.
