In 2003, our region decided that the South Tyrolean Wine Route begins in the “village of asparagus”: Terlano. Located at 248 metres above sea level, Terlano is found almost at the middle between Bolzano and Merano.
Rich green fruit orchards and vineyards characterise both the village of Terlano and its hamlets Settequerce and Vilpiano.
Asparagus and the suitable white wine are a true culinary highlight in Terlano. Try Terlano’s special cuisine and you will be more than delighted!
Those interested in culture and history can look forward to the Gothic frescoes of the local parish church and hike to the ruin of Maultasch Castle, towering above Terlano.
By the way: A swimming pool and tennis courts are obviously provided!
