Paragliding & hang-gliding

On the south side of lake Caldaro, there is a landing site for paragliders and hang-gliders.

Paragliding or hang-gliding has generally displaced kite flying in these days. In case of favourable weather conditions you can often see a coloured spot in the sky, hoovering in the air. Be careful, tried once you might get addicted to this activity!

The flying area of the Oltradige is considered one of the most spectacular of South Tyrol. Starting point for paragliding is the so-called Lavinaspitz mountain, while hang-gliders preferably start from the Penegal mountain.
