Appiano boasts the largest wine-growing area all over South Tyrol. Situated at 280-940 metres above sea level, it features the ideal soils for vines and grapes - wine lovers will be delighted!

The community of Appiano is known as the "region of castles" and the two lakes of Monticolo - a bigger one and a smaller one - guarantee refreshing moments on hot summer days. A rich number of ruins and castles and beautiful manors are spread all over the area. The "cathedral in the countryside" of S. Paolo is a true cultural treasure, which is definitely worth seeing.
