Experience the wine in all its facets from Nalles to Salorno in abundance.

In the villages along the South Tyrolean Wine Road the vines are cared for with particular dedication. Quality is very important in the vineyard and this includes the appropriate care of the plants. Some winegrowers are also trained oenologists.

Of course, even the best care is of no use if the natural conditions are not fulfilled: the right amount of precipitation and well distributed, loose, aerated soils that are easily heated, that is what a vine needs. Additionally, along the South Tyrolean Wine Road mainly lime soils and deposits of glacial moraines and rivers can be found. And up to 1,800 hours of sunshine per year at an average of 18° C, sometimes even up to 22° C. The perfect combination for a wonderful grape quality.

The Oltradige area, a part of the South Tyrolean Wine Road, is the most important wine-growing region in South Tyrol. Caldaro (Kaltern), which has become famous for its “Kalterersee Auslese”, a “tasty” Vernatsch, is also located here. The next village is Termeno (Tramin). Well, did you recognize it yet? This can only be the home village of the golden Gewürztraminer.
