The story of the Monument to Victory at Bolzano, the town and the country – narrated in the documentation exhibition.
Under the massive building of the Monument to Victory in Bolzano, near the Talvera Meadows and the city centre, a documentation exhibition was opened some years ago. It is accessible for free and tells about the construction of this monument and the history of Bolzano in the period of the two World Wars. Various aspects are considered from several perspectives.
The 13 subsurface rooms were restored before the exhibition was opened. First an introductory film, available in three languages, tells about Bolzano between 1918 and 1945. Then you can follow first the Inner Perimeter which is dedicated to the topic “The Monument and its History” or the Outer Perimeter which discusses the topic “History and Region”. Moreover there are four Corner Rooms which are dedicated to reflection and gaining further insights from the exhibition. The exhibition has an entrance for people with disabilities which is located in the Corso Libertà road.
