Two winegrowers from Appiano present their wines. Results of organic viticulture.
The Day of Organic Viticulture in Appiano brings new aspects into the "South Tyrolean Wine Road Weeks". This is the situation in 2008: two agricultural entreprises from Appiano, which culitvate their vineyards adhering to the regulations of the "Bioland" association, show that wines can also be produced without using chemicals.
The name of these farms are Hof Gandberg and Strickerhof (Frangarto). These wine growers used their creativity to make a concept for an "alternative" Wine Day. Different presentations on biologic-organic viniculture are aimed at informing the public about this cultivation method. The programme also involves wine tastings and typical snacks as well as real folk music.
