Wine and nature trails

In Cornaiano and Cortaccia you get further information about viticulture in South Tyrol.

Wine and nature trail "Hoher Weg" Gschleier
> In Cornaiano, which belongs to the municipality of Appiano, you can perfectly explore nature and scenic landscape characterised by vineyards. Along the wine and nature trail "Hoher Weg Gschleier", fifteen information panels provide bilingual information about nature and wine as well as cultivation methods. About 100 local plant species, re-established dry stone walls as well as a large number of seats make this trail a great attraction, thanks to the committee "Appiano Event Wine World Cornaiano", who established this trail in cooperation with the Laimburg, numerous associations and volunteers.

Wine trail Cortaccia
> The "path through life" from the liner to degustation is explained in detail. In the centre of Cortaccia you follow the so-called "Saltner Pratze", a very special signpost, until you reach the head-high grape, which are stones that have been formed by glacial activity. This is where the wine trail begins. This path guides you about 1.5 km across vineyards. Moreover various cultivation methods are presented and information panels explain the process. On Wednesdays there are guided tours.
