Grapevine Museum

Caldaro boasts a wide variety of vines that can also be visited.

> The vineyard museum is a private museum, in which the work of winegrowers is at the centre of attention.

A creative farmer of Caldaro has implemented his ideas and brought into being a grapevine museum at his organic farm.
In other words, the cultivated about 300 types of grapevines of the following countries in his cultivation territory: Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece, US, Russia, South Africa and Japan.

The museum at the “Lieselehof“ offers two interesting aspects: you can directly compare the types of grapevines, one directly next to the other and learn more about organic-ecological vine-growing since 1993, which enables you to see nature in a slightly different perspective.

The variety of grapes is really astonishing, so it is the variety of wines that is produced. By the way, to the farmer Werner Morandell it is of utmost importance to produce quality wines.

Wine tastings and guided tours in the vineyard museum are offered by the farmer on request.
Please note that guided tours normally take place in German language.
