If you would like to exercise and refine your technique, Appiano is the right place for you.

Golf is a sport that originally comes from Scotland and is a ball sports. With the help of several golf clubs a golf ball has to be driven off into the next hole. Usually this is repeated as many times as there are holes on the course, usually on a wide green. For a long period of time, playing golf was considered to be a sports for prosperous people and was reserved to the upper class who could afford it. Today, however, above all due to new variants, playing golf has has become a mass sport and a popular leisure time activity. An estimated number of 50 million people play golf nowadays.

And what about the South Tyrolean Wine Route? The closest larger golf course is only a stone’s throw away. The more you go to the south, the closer you get to the Monte San Pietro golf course (about three quarters from Termeno): this is where you can find an 18-hole golf course at 1,200 m asl.

However, if you would like to exercise and refine your technique, we recommend you the park of Freudenstein Castle in great surroundings at Appiano Monte. Putting and pitching area are new and are available for club members. The Golf Club Freudenstein Castle is going to warmly welcome you!
