Ever heard about the Grand Canyon of South Tyrol? Or Castelvetere?

The Grand Canyon of South Tyrol refers actually to a stunning gorge called “Rio delle Foglie” in Italian or “Bletterbachschlucht” in German. The gorge is made out of different stone layers such as porphyry, sandstone and dolomite. Numerous fossils and a rare flora render this excursion a true adventure. Watch out: Do not forget to bring strong boots!!

The so-called Rastenbachklamm is an equally beautiful gorge in Castelvecchio near to Caldaro. A stunning, shadowy gorge is waiting to be discovered.
