BolzanoDanza is back! This festival, celebrating its 25th edition this year, offers a range of dance performances and workshops with instructors from all over the world.

July 20 to August 1, 2009

Bolzano in summer: numerous are the highlights that are offered. Particularly music events are very popular in summer and not only the JazzFestival, but also BolzanoDanza attracts visitors from all over and provides special experiences.
Dance companies from all over the world offer modern dance performances as well as workshops and courses.

Twelve ensembles give 14 performances, eight in Italian language, one in European first performance.

Moreover there are fringe events such as foto exhibitions. The motto of BolzanoDanza 2009 is “today, yesterday, tomorrow” and is presented with guests from the past, present and future.

An example is the first international Hip Hop and contemporary dance competitions, taking place on July 17 and 18. On July 28 the dancers Alessandra Pasquali and the choreographer Mario de Candia from Apulia will give instructions how to approach a choreography.
And finally on July 31 there will be various performances in the air and on the floor, tango and a breakdance battle on Piazza Verdi.
