Cycling trails are found everywhere along the South Tyrolean Wine Route, taking you to the city of Bolzano, to Cavalese, across the Bassa Atesina region or to Merano & surroundings. Those looking for an even greater challenge might head off to the sharp bends up to Passo Mendola or the Roen.

Ever heard about the cycling track connecting Ora with Cavalese? It promises a great experience, past Castelvetere, Montagna, Fontanefredde, San Lugano and finally across the Monte Corno Nature Park. Following the former railway track of the Val di Fiemme trains, there aren't any steep ascents and the highest point is slightly above 1,000 m.

Speaking of railways: The Oltradige cycling trail along the shores of Lake Caldaro and further from Caldaro to Appiano, Frangarto and Bolzano again follows some former railway tracks, namely those of the Oltradige railway. In Frangarto moreover you have the opportunity to change direction and cycle across the beautiful Oltradige region.
