Lakes and waters

Several lakes and waters along the South Tyrolean Wine Road can be perfectly combined with a hike - furthermore, they are a welcome refreshment on hot summer days

In summer, the villages of Appiano, Caldaro and Favogna di Sotto along the South Tyrolean Wine Road offer the possibility to refresh in the waters of a lake. Lake Colle in Aldino, however, not far from the Wine Road, is a well-known hiking destination. In winter, the lakes often freeze and become - if the ice layer is thick enough - a meeting point for ice skaters and hockey players alike.
