Museum of people through time

Also Cortaccia has got a very interesting and comprehensive museum to offer.

Some 10,000 years of history are illustrated in the museum of Cortaccia, suggesting that the exhibition provides lots of information. In fact, also an excavation site called “archaeological zone” is part of the museum. In this area already 50 years ago archeological findings have been made. For this reason the “Museum of people through time” provides information at first hand. Humans as hunter and gatherers are described just as the development towards settling down. Another core theme is the emergence of professions and the way to the consumer society. An exhibition called “Gods, Wiches, Saints” focusing on folk religions completes the offer. Guided tours across the museum are also offered, as it is very important for young people to know more about the development of mankind.

Important and not all that self-evident: also wheelchair users can visit this museum.
The „Museum of people through time“ has been founded in 1976 and has in the course of time become a facility offering a multimedia exhibition.
