Appiano Winter Forest

The municipality of Appiano decorates Piazza del Mercato with some 100 fir trees. A real winter forest, especially when snow is falling.

In the heart of San Michele there are numerous wooden cottages. They are lushly decorated and surrounded by a fir tree forest. “Appiano Winter Forest”, especially when snow is falling, this Christmas forest lives up to its name. Inhabitants of Appiano celebrate Advent and of course this place is a worthy venue. Some 100 fir trees decorate the village from the end of November to December 24.

The offer of the Appiano Christmas market completes the one of the shops in the surroundings. There are hardly any overlaps, which makes the offers even more varied for visitors. Moreover various initiatives, music and entertainment emphasise the solemn Christmas atmosphere, and of course culinary delights do so, too.
