Mazzon

The hamlet of Mazzon above Egna is an important wine growing estate.

The little village of Mazzon is surrounded by vineyards, of course vine-growing is at the centre. No wonder that most of the buildings are residences and vine-growing farms. A feast for the eyes, not only for connoisseurs, are the cultural landscape and the ancient buildings. And behind, there are the forests of the Monte Corno Nature Park.

In a walk you can reach Castel Caldiff, rising up into the sky on the slope that stretches into the Valle dei Molini. The church dedicated to the arch-angel S. Michael, located outside the village in the vineyards, boasts historic frescoes.
