Neumarkt Laag Egna Laghetti

Laghetti

The village of Laghetti is situated on 214 m asl and is part of the municipality of Egna.

The village of Laghetti has got about 1,300 inhabitants, is rich in architectonic jewels and provides interesting views.

At the norther village border, there is a pilgrims’ hospice of the 13th century, the so-called “Klösterle”. Only a hand full of hiking trails in the surroundings of this hospice are still walkable today. Next to the hospice, there is the S. Floriano church, a chapel in Roman construction style, which is one of the most ancient Christian sacred buildings of Tyrol.

Laghetti is also the starting point of the Dürer hiking trail, starting at the above mentioned hospice. Otherwise you can promenade along the fruit orchards underneath the mountain, down to Salorno. Along the Adige river, there is a section of the Via Claudia Augusta cycle track, stretching from Bolzano to Trento.
