The promenades have got a good record!
Above all two of them, so to speak the Guncina and Sant’Oswaldo promenade, characterised by a meridional flair and great viewpoints. Ascending from the periphery via serpentines you reach these high paths, which are lined by magnolias, Chusan palms, holly and cork oaks, agave plants and other meridional plants. Those who look, will see: the city of Bolzano from on high conveys a feeling of width and grandeur.
However, there are not only these two promenades in the periphery.
The “Lungo Talvera promenade” lines the homonymous river and is one of the green oasis of Bolzano, which is perfect both for adults and children, as there are children’s playgrounds, sports facilities for football, baseball and softball and wide meadows along the river which provide space for movement in the heart of the city. There is even a cycling path.
A new promenade is the Virgolo promenade, which leads past castles and residences, for example Castel Flavon.
One of the two most beautiful promenades at Bolzano is the Guncina promenade. more
Also the S. Osvaldo promenade is really popular, especially in spring and autumn. more
