When aromatic fragrances fill the streets

Known and loved far beyond the borders is the Christmas market of Bolzano. Every year again, at the beginning of the advent season, it opens its doors and attracts both young and old. Where to find it? On the Piazza Walther obviously, with the mighty Cathedral of Bolzano towering high above. Ranging from Christmas decorations and Christmas presents to music instruments, home-made cookies and colourful lanterns, it provides all you can imagine. And naturally there is also a train for the little ones as well as a huge, decorated Christmas tree.

Contemporaneously with the Christmas market on the Piazza Walther, there is a slightly “different” kind of market opening its doors right around the corner. Here you will find self-made jewellery, huts and bags, wooden buttons, paintings and dolls, instruments made out of natural materials and much more. A great spot for all those who are looking for a different kind of Christmas present.
